I login and appear logged in on the next page, but when I click a link I am asked to login again. Why?
This is happening because your web browser is not allowing all cookies from RatePeople.com to be stored on your computer, thus our site is unable to verify your identity without asking for your username and password with each access you make to the site. To fix this problem, set your web browser to allow all cookies from RatePeople.com. For information on how to do this in your individual browser, see the software manufacturers documentation.
Rating Photos
How do I see a person's rating?
After you rate a person by selecting 1-5, you will see their rating on the left-hand side of your screen, below the menu.
How do I tell my friend about a photo?
Below the photo is a link you can copy and paste to use to show a friend a photo.

How do I upload my photo to get rated?
If you don't have an account, click "Sign up Now" in the menu. If you have an account, log on to our site and click on "Update Profile".
Is my email address or personal information given out to other Users?
No, we do not give out your email address or other personal information to other users. If you send them a note or an email, we just tell them your username, it is up to you to give them any other information.
How do I edit my profile?
On the menu, click on "Update Profile".
How do I edit my account information?
On the menu, click on "Update Profile", then follow the link to update your account information. You can change your email address, password, and other information there.
How do I cancel my account?
Go to http://www.ratepeople.com/cancel.asp
How do I cancel my recurring monthly charges?
You will need to know the billing provider you used to make your initial payment to cancel
your recurring monthly charges. Please visit the billing provider below to cancel your
recurring charges. If you have any questions or problems, please email billing@ratepeople.com.
Meet People
How do I find people I may want to meet?
Log on, and click on "Find Friends" in the menu.
How do I find people in my state/region/country and/or age range?
While in the "Find Friends" system, you can use the drop down boxes to select different regions, states, and countries. You can also set age limits.
What happens when I say YES to meeting someone?
When you click on YES to meet someone, they are notified via email that you want to meet and talk with them. Next time they enter the find friends system, your photo will be shown to them first, and if they click YES to meet you too, you are both added to each others Friends List.
What happens when a person says YES to my photo to meet me?
You are notified via Email that someone wants to meet and talk with you. Log in to your account, and you will see that person's photo first and be given the choice to say YES and add them to your Friends List.
What is my Friends List?
Once two people say they want to meet and talk to each other, they are added to each other's Friends List. Using your Friends List, you can write people notes or send them email.
How do I write someone a Note?
Go to your Friends List and click "Send a Note" next to the person you want to write. Click on the check boxes to construct a note from prepared statements to write to the person.
How do I write someone an Email?
Go to your Friends List and click "Send an Email" next to the person you want to write. Your message will be sent directly to them via Email. Your email address will NOT be displayed - the email will come from our domain name and will give instructions to the person on how to reply. If you would like, you can give out your email address when you directly email a person through our site. The purpose of sending from an account at our domain is so that both people can remain anonymous, until they are ready to give our their information.
How do I get a premium membership?

How do I cancel a recurring premium membership?
Note: This only applies if you purchased a recurring membership. If you bought a 3, 6, or 12 month membership that is NON-RECURRING you do not need to cancel your payment with paypal.
Please log on to your account at http://www.paypal.com, and search your transaction history for the email address billing@ratepeople.com. From there you can cancel your subscription. You will NOT loose your remaining paid time.

Photos
How do I upload a photo?
Log on to our site, and click on "Update Profile", then follow the photo upload link.
What type of photo can I upload?
The photo must be of yourself. We recommend that no other people are in the photo, but if there are, it must be obvious who you are in the photo (an arrow pointing to you, or a piece of text labelling you is sufficient). Photos not of yourself, of copyrighted, trademarked, illegal, or similar material will be rejected. NUDITY/EROTICA is NOT allowed on our site, please visit http://www.adultmatchdoctor.com instead.
Can I have more than one photo?
Only one photo is allowed at a time, but collages ARE allowed if reasonable.
When will my photo be approved?
We approve photos a few times each business day and often once a day on non-business days. If your photo is not approved, we will email you a rejection letter so you can upload a different photo.
How do I change my photo?
Log on to our site, and click on Update Profile, then follow the link to the photo upload page. REMEMBER: YOUR RATING WILL BE RESET BY UPLOADING A NEW PHOTO!
Can you upload a photo for me?
No, we are sorry, but we cannot upload photos for our users at this time. Please use the Upload Photo feature of the site.
Ratings
How do I see my own rating?
Log on to our site, and click on "My Rating" in the menu.
How do I reset my rating?
Your rating is reset by uploading a new photo. (If you would like to reset your rating and keep the photo you currently have, just re-upload the same photo.)
I have a rating that should place me on the top list, why am I not listed?
In order to be listed on our top lists, you must have a minimum number of votes, and login at least once every 10 days. If you do not see yourself listed, it is because you have not yet received the required minimum number of votes, or you have not logged in during the last 10 days.
Is there any way users can see who gave them what rating?
Unfortunately, no. There is no way for us to do this as people are not required to be logged in to vote on your photo/profile, thus we have no way of tracking all the votes.
How do you guys calculate the ratings? I've tried everything, and I can't figure it out!
Votes are normalized, averaged, and then placed on a curve to determine the ratings. Also, males and female ratings are normalized, calculated, and curved separately.
